Planmetre
Automatic takeoff from electrical drawings.
Queued · in specification
When a bid is prepared, the fixtures, sockets and runs in an electrical drawing are usually counted and measured by hand. Planmetre aims to read the drawing, recognize symbols, rooms and runs, and prepare the quantity takeoff with suggested pay items. The engineer reviews and approves the result.
Status: Queued, in specification. The scope and technical design are written. Development starts once one of the active products passes its threshold. We plan to pilot it with an engineering firm owned by our founder.
Who it’s for
Subcontractor estimators, design offices, material suppliers and contractors’ technical offices.
What it will do
- Recognize symbols, walls, rooms and runs in DWG, DXF and PDF drawings.
- Produce a quantity takeoff with suggested pay items.
- Sit in front of today’s estimating tools as the layer that does the measuring automatically.
